Guy at uni has a 340 with them wheels on, looks pretty good... certainly improves any standard 340 looks. Really need to find out who it is and see if they've heard of V3M, might just have to leave a note on their car, not ideal in this weather though! I just got back from picking up a set of very g...

Damn! thats bad news about a great looking 340! :( I hope that you can get it repaired, it would certainly be worth it.

Sure people will be able to help you out on here with any spares you're likely to need for the repairs, if you do it yourself it shouldn't be too costly hopefully!

I noticed the rear bumper in the back after posting! It doesn't look to have rusted much atall, apart from the places involved in the accident - I guess its not a bad place to be in for a crash compared to similar aged cars! Pete, do you happen to have the square plastic surround around the c...

Interesting pictures! The 300 is indeed a very solid car!

When did that black 360 have the accident, looks like its been like that a while, that rear alloy wheel looks like new!!

I take it this is the donor car for my rear bumper

Is it? I was reading a brochure the other day and it only listed it on the GLE and GLT, maybe it was an early brochure or something, otherwise I'm confused!

hmm, I thought that the old style dash had the same pedal layout, certainly from memory the two '82 345s we had were the same as my 360 now - but my memory might be just crap! Maybe I find the turning circle astonishingly good because I've only driven FWD cars, in comparison it is exeptional. But I ...

Argh I forgot about the wind noise! Dear me, I couldn't remember that from the 345s we had. Although I suspect that alot of it is due to the sunroof! My Favorit was quieter on the motorway! I think the ride quality is actually very good, no idea of the condition of my shocks, but it's still quite sm...

What was better on older models?

I remember seeing a 345GL in a scrapyard about 10 years ago, alot of things are better than on later 345s. The gutter trim was actually chrome rather than shiny plastic that fades!

Well I can't vouch for other RWD cars, but the turning circle is good! If you think the turning circle is actually tighter than an Austin Metro it can't be half bad... Hugh is right, the 340 and 360 have better turning circles than 700s  Although if you think about it proportionally the 740 is...

The seats themselves!! So comfortable, soft and comfy but supportive too. hmm the turning circle is damn good, and the power steering on my 360GLT is just the perfect weighting, not too light as some systems are!

Yeah I guess there are some similarities! Probably designed at similar times. The dashboard is also a very similar shape, not of the same quality I must admit, but they're still suprisingly good cars - well I like 'em anyway! They seem to like being driven hard, they're certainly better than most pe...

http://www.geocities.com/drhbanger_1/360GLT.jpg Well heres my 360GLT, previously Carls.. looks quite good here, even though it actually needs a wash! Note the lovely sunken sunroof, I'll be getting my dad to look at this at some point seeing as he used to fit them. Old (newer than the 360!)Favorit ...
