Re: Is anyone still alive ;-?

Yea in New Zealand. Over here the high spec sedans were GLEs and high spec hatchbacks were GLTs. We got GL, GLS, GLE & GLT. GL & GLS were either sedan or hatch. We never got 340s or 3 doors. I haven't seen the sedan yet, so a bit excited. Will be picking it up january. Till then i have: 2x broken 96...

Re: American interested in a 360

Aussie is RHD (you may have gotten your wires crossed up there, i kind of did 🤣) so it may be a bit more of an issue over there. I would be looking to import from here in New Zealand or Australia due to lack of rust and lower prices, but if it must be LHD then Europe would be the way to go.

Re: '85 360 GLS

Yes the shift light is quite rare. I first saw it in my 2nd 360, an '85 360GL. A 360GLS i had a little while ago had it so i yoinked it out and am keeping it for my GLT.

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

I thinks it's more of a case of lining the physical cable in the sleeve up with it's hole in the back. I can get mine roughly seated and secured and it'll shake around, but if i reach up under the dash and shift it i can make it better or worse.

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

Not really had a problem removing the speedo-cable from the instrument panel - its more of a problem getting it back on again, but still not too bad. I take it you are also planning on removing the steering wheel - I never managed to do anything useful with it left on. Its a bit delicate removing t...

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

You'll need
-ratchet or breaker bar
-extension bar
-think it's a 23mm socket for the steering wheel nut -11mm spanner for the vac nipple
-phillips screwdriver. I usually have a stubby one for the metal plate screws and a normal length one for the cluster screws

Re: Ambient Temperature Gauge and Sensor fitting

-pop the settering wheel cover off, get your fingers in behind and pull. You'll get a small beep or two, nothing major -undo the 2 blade connectors on the horn pad -undo the nut and remove the steering wheel -Undo the metal strip at the top -Undo the speedo cable -Unplug the 2 plugs at the bottom of...
