Re: Is this bad/terminal damage?
I gave up waiting for them to do it.I go down there on my days off and use their chassis jig and do it myself  hopefully my unusual approach to body repairs doesn't fook things up.The trouble weare having is getting the top of the inner wing to have it spot welds to line up.I removed the good...

Re: Aircon Rebuilding
I've seen the thread on this forum on what is needed.I hope to find it easier over here as aircon was fitted to nearly every single car.My '89 MK2 Golf Diesel has aircon as its a Jap import.Doesn't work mind you but you get my drift?

Re: Aircon Rebuilding

Re: snapped cam belt. issue's?
If you are clever you can check the compression and any unusual noises by removing the rocker cover and checking each cylinder by hand.
ie you turn the cam by hand and remove all the spark plugs. If you have a catastrophic failure you should be able to tell with a finger over the plug holes.
Have fun

Re: snapped cam belt. issue's?
Hey Logan, the B200e is not an interference engine unless you are running a really lumpy cam, yours is probably an A cam.May be at full throttle there may be some collision but you were just ticking over. As you know I have recently been rebuilding my B200e and just for my peace of mind I removed the ...

Could it be that the extra stiffness and all that bouncing around has killed off your engine mounts?
Just a thought

Aircon Rebuilding
As per heading I'm rebuilding my aircon system. When I removed it all there was the remains of what seemed to me to be a thin charcoal type filter or a very thin slice of black sponge.Do I really need this? Can I just put it back together without it? PS Rebuild of the car has ground to a halt as the ...
