Re: Portly - B43 GHH (Picture Heavy)

Whats the deal with Mot's and the tower work as i thought they had got stricter and any cutting of the shell would result in a SVA or whatever they are called now? I don't think strut towers count. It's more to do with the main chassis and firewall etc. Thats handy if that is the case, is that spec...

Re: Official V3M 300 Spotted Thread.

Went to a local Volvo specialist today to have a chat about my 240, outside i was pleased to see this rather lovely 340. Sadly it's a more door, but thats the only thing going against it IMO. Apparently a few years ago a girls parents bought her the car to learn to drive in, sadly she passed away an...

Re: Portly - B43 GHH (Picture Heavy)

Hell of a lot of work there, and the end result speaks for itself :D So are you going to be towing anything with the towbar or are you just an accessories freak. I like the tower work, it's got to be worth doing it as standard towers and 2 1/2" front drop bumps about all over the place. Whats the de...

Re: Minilites

Fair play to the guy if he dailys it like that, i think i'm just getting old

No such thing as a specific tyre size for a rim, as you can see various sizes will fit and are all legal, it's down to a matter of personal taste.

Re: Minilites

Fair enough, that white one is pretty low. Do you know if it's used as a daily or just a drifter? I think what i mean is yes you can slam them then, but it would be a right pita to use it like that what with the state of UK roads and amount of speed bumps we have. Pretty sure my rims are 7". The pic...

Re: Volvo 340 GL 1.7 Build Thread

Just drill a hole in the flat bit of the boss and put your horn wires through there, thats what i did, job sorted.

I can't actually remember how the horn ring comes off of the old wheel, but i needed to dremmel the inside of the hole to make it fit tightly on the new boss.

Re: Fibreglass front end ( WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED )

Again i'd say the front valance is a part well worth doing, especially if it was somehow doable to just chop out the old rotten one and have it as a bolt on part?

I'd be up for one of them, but finding a suitable one for using as a mold may be troublesome?

Re: Minilites

I got a blow out (hit a brick!) on the way to the scrappy a few years back. They put the larger profile tyres on the rear to get me home. In this pic the car is pre lowered i.e stock height. Even if the front was down it would still look cack. What profiles are they? 45 on the front? ben.. Soz for ...

Re: Minilites

IMHO 13's are fine, they only look gash when you run the low pro's. I got a blow out (hit a brick!) on the way to the scrappy a few years back. Passenger front door handle

Hello again guys, long time no visity the forum.

I've still got the 340 but the Mot has just run out. Now i don't think it'll fail on anything bar the fact you can't get into it on the passenger side due to a broken handle (defo fail).

So has anyone got one spare, cheers.
