Re: Got myself a new whip

Thats the thing Steve, they technically aren't slow (for their time atleast) but yeah in comparison to my 300 it does feel a bit like a tractor :lol: I fully agree on the wheel front aswell, they are a nice design just a shame they didn't do them in bigger sizes. VND- I feel i can justify saying i'm...

Re: Got myself a new whip

Thanks guys, to be honest it would be hard for you lot not to like it, i mean it's a Volvo after all! How tech were Volvo boffins back in the day, i ask as everytime it hits 75mph upwards it makes a horrific screaching noise from the dash. I know mechanical speedo's can spin and make a squeal, but t...

Got myself a new whip

I had an itch which needed itching and i've always wanted one of these. So last week while doing my usual thing of looking at various bits of automotive tat i had the urge to make a compulsive purchase. This was helped by the fact the car in question was nice and local (only 7miles away) and rather ...

Re: Cap over front wheel bearing.

If this is a proper garage you paid to do the job and not just a mate in his lockup, i'd suggest you MAKE them obtain a new one for you as it's not something they should just forget to put back on and loose. As for alternatives maybe a deodorant lid or something similar would fit, but i'd only see i...

Re: Fake - F7R Motorsport Daily

If there was a "like" button i'd click it :D

So are new topmounts still available but not the standard bearings? I think mine need doing as i have a knock from the drivers side suspension.

Re: mintex MDB1150M1144

From what i read on some other forums via google is that the pads will wear out a disk, (mark it, put stripes on it) not the other way around. But if thats not the case on the 360 i will replace the whol shabang My general understanding is if you put new pads onto old discs they will wear quicker d...

Rotors = brake disc.

A knackered old brake disc will wear out new pads quicker thats for sure.

Re: Help needed!!!! 2l turbo project

I've often wondered if this conversion was possible as my dads old 21 Turbo was a proper road rocket.

I hope you get it sorted and don't give up on the project.

Re: Derrick the Volvo! (Prop shaft fail)

I think we put more miles on ours that you do. When yours breaks, I'm guessing it's no big deal. For people like chris and me who do 20k a year it's important to have everything right. btw - OT. Your name came up in a conversation with KevFromWales at the weekend. Apparently you recognised him inst...
