Yup my Astra G uses those too,the original ones on the 360 are squashed steel ones.I have an unlimited supply of high tensile stainless stuff.Having said that I wont be using stainless on anything load bearing,suspension/engine mounts/steering etc etc.

I'm using A4 80 stainless nuts and bolts and doing them up like you say,by feel.23nm sounds too loose to me.

Torque settings
Have searched the forum and the green books but cant find the torque wrench settings for the inlet or exhaust manifold nots and bolts.
Have I missed something or are they not there?

Hi there and welcome.Nice clean example there.Give that engine a flush out,under the exhaust manifold to the rear of the engine there is a brass fitting.Remove it and clean it.Then push a screwdriver into the engine to unblock where the fitting was. Refit the brass thing and attach your garden hose ...

I'll try to sort a pic out within the next 24 hours.I have the genuine one still on my white car but the parts car has a non original.I was going to replace mine with a non original filter,is this not recommended?

Love the pink,who is doing the powder coating and what are they using? When I was living in England I was working in the family business of blasting and powder coating.I would only use Nylon powder that is is flexible and if it gets scratched you just heat it with a hot air gun and re melt it smooth...

Get yourself a sheet of gasket paper and lay it or glue it to the face of your diff/Gbox (use a kids glue as you want to unstick it) Then with a ball hammer lightly tap around the edges of your diff/Gbox.This will be enough to cut through the paper and will fit perfectly. 1956 11 familiale 9 seater.There is a CX estate there an 84 classic Rangie and a Panther Lima.La Traction was fully restored a while back and gets wheeled out for family weddings.
