Re: 1987 340

Battery fixing is on the foot of the battery, not over the top, so you wouldn't expect to see it in that photo.

Look engine side of the battery for a strip of metal with 2 10mm nuts

Re: Fuel leaking from the rear

I have no idea what reference I was using for left hand. Drivers side, i.e. petrol cap side. May that can be construed as left if you stand on your head or something

Those clips are normally crimped ones, so one use and you'll need new

Re: Duchess The Volvo 340 CVT

That is a chunk of progress, rear strut towers in the shell look pretty good too, that's a favourite place to rust if the sill drain holes have been blocked

Re: Fuel leaking from the rear

Take the left hand inner boot trim panel off and you will see several hoses, 3/4" and 1/4" from memory is what you need, but do check, it's been a month or so since I did one and my memory is terrible

I have a 440 sensor fitted to my car, a spare dashboard and an oscilloscope.

Would you like a comparison test run?

Ok, it's been a while since I've done the job, but it's not difficult. If at any point you find yourself putting *any* force into the job, you've missed something and about to break something un obtainable. The bits of white plastic you will see with short bits of steel molded in are also molded ont...

Re: +SUNROOF!+

Given the age of the car, is it a glass panel roof that pops up rather than a metal panel that can tilt and slide?

(and I did read the rust on the leading edge... just never seen a Golde roof fitted to an H reg car!)

Don't ask ...
