Re: Official V3M 300 Spotted Thread.

I do have a soft spot for mk1 Fiestas, I would quite like one but they are now subject to the 'blue oval tax'. My grandmother had one in the 1990s, it was an A reg Popular in hearing-aid beige with vinyl seats, no headrests, no rear seat belts, no radio, and a mechanical foot-pump for the windscreen...

Re: Official V3M 300 Spotted Thread.

That's a terrific spot Andy! Looks like the 343 is a MY79. It loses its driver wing mirror by the time it hits the Fiesta for some reason, and is already missing its passenger one and wing badge in the first shot. I'm also not quite convinced that the Fiesta actually suffers all that damage in the c...

Yes, it's annual, the website is here: http://www.volvobeurs.nl/en/

I chickened out and took my modern S60, sorry! It can be seen in the pics with the DS.

Re: '77 Vario - Drive not engaging

Right, so thanks to volvodspec's diagnosis I decided to tackle this job this weekend. I contacted RJ at BBB who confirmed that Volvo do in fact still stock the bushes - he was right! http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c72/enjoyhotcoffee/IMG_4329.jpg The first step was to get the car onto a pair of ra...

Re: '77 Vario - Drive not engaging

Hmm, you are right - when I go straight from P to D then it seems to engage with no trouble.

'77 Vario - Drive not engaging

Hi My '77 has just developed a problem whereby drive refuses to engage. When I move the shifter to Drive, the car is still in neutral. The shifter doesn't quite click into place like it ought to. I've only managed to get it to engage drive twice in the last 20 minutes of trying - I think engaging re...

 score for you, too flash... They look perfect.
I must have some sort of deep psychological problem that prevents me from having any luxury on my classic cars. :D

Re: Low millage cars

Incidentally, my mother's 340 was also a D registration car, purchased from the same dealership on Anglesey. D875 VEY was the number plate.

Re: Low millage cars

D means it was registered between 1 August 1986 and 31 July 1987. So it's almost certainly a 1987 model year car.

Volvo Klassieker Beurs (Volvo Classic Fair) Rosmalen, 2014

This weekend, I went to what was billed as the biggest classic Volvo show in Europe, in Rosmalen in the Netherlands. The show itself consisted of club stands and displays, and dozens of parts selling companies. It was really so good to see such a vibrant parts community. There were literally hundred...
