Re: MY83 Volvo 340 DL with B19A engine

Here's a blurry pic from the Belgian (Dutch) brochure from 1983: http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc152/trabitom99/Volvo%20300/brochures/1983_Belgium_Dutch_B19A_340_kl_zps9efnle8u.jpg B19A engine as an option for the 340 DL, equipment same as the standard 340 DL except Halogen headlamps Rev counte...

Re: MY83 Volvo 340 DL with B19A engine

Thanks for sharing that info, Freerk ... I went through all the available Autokampioen and Autovisie on Marktplaats the other day but couldn't make out from the cover which would be the right one. I'm sure Aymat or the V3C would appreciate a PDF. Autokampioen No 41 available on Marktplaats and on Eb...

Ah, that's very interesting! Do happen to know which magazine, and which month?

Re: renix units

I don't know the exact operating differences, I'm afraid! I wouldn't mix the carb/injection versions, or fit an earlier B200E version to a late B200F car with a lambda sensor though.

Re: renix units

According to this:
viewtopic.php?t=3506

both 407 and 408 Renixes were fitted to 1985 - 1986 360s, but the 407 is for the carb-fed B200K, whereas the 408 is for the injected B200E.

The 411 Renix is for injected B200E/F cars from 1987 on.

Wow, thanks for sharing those pictures. That's a real museum-spec car you have there, an absolute rarity.

Re: '82 343 DLS Service day 5: fuel gauge, bulbs, resistor p

Thanks Mark! It's all simple stuff compared with some of the amazing work done by other people on this forum, but it shows what kind of jobs you can do with limited mechanical skill and lots of forum help :-)

I'll get the clock sent out to Rich by this weekend at the latest.

Re: '82 343 DLS Service day 5: fuel gauge, bulbs, resistor p

Spent another evening working on the car: Out comes the instrument panel again, to sort out the fuel gauge. The needle was definitely bent inwards and was rubbing against the back of the panel - we were careful putting it all back together after the clock replacement, but maybe not careful enough! h...

Re: Damn that blower gone again.

Thank you mac, that's good news.

In that case I'll wait with the postage of my dud post '86 4-terminal one for the moment - if I manage to remove the resistor pack from my '82 DLS in one piece I'll send that on to you as well ...

I'll be in touch.

Re: Damn that blower gone again.

Am very interested to see how this thread is going! I'm a bit confused as to all the different types of heater resistor packs, particularly the early ones: ###### "Type 1" ###### CH 388000-?? (approx 79-??) Part 3296539 replacing 3278499 no cage, 4 terminals, fixed into the side of the heater housin...

Re: Thinking 'bout converting to electronic igntion

I can see the attraction of swapping a points-based system for Renix ignition (hard to get good points these days) but you've already that installed from the factory as Ride_on says ...

Good luck, and let us know how you get on!

Looks fantastic Tom! How far away is the Nürburgring from you? The surrounding roads look fantastic (and very autumnal!) Thanks, Steve. The 'ring isn't far away, maybe 50-70kms depending on the route you take ... Hi Tom. Looks like you had a great trip.Glad the clock is working. Cheers Mark. So am ...
