Re: Polybushing a 300 ?

Dai sells a few and also superflex have some available, I think you can get the rubber originals from Born Built Beauties - I think whatever you choose they will give a nice benefit over bushes that could potentially be 36 years old

Re: Polybushing a 300 ?

I know Andy (pettaw) on here did this a long while back and it did tighten things up, but with an adverse effect in noise and vibration through the car. It really depends on your driving but I don't think I'd personally go for poly on a 300 road car, for me they are noisy and bouncy enough at times ...

Re: 360 carby fuel supply

Argh what a nightmare Jon, don't feel too bad about it - easily done! I remember having a starting issue in a Skoda Felicia when I first started driving at a roundabout, I started pushing it out of the way due to the traffic but 3-4 pedestrians started 'helping' me, next thing I know we're starting ...

Re: 360 carby fuel supply

For reference Dave, if you have any issues with removing the gearbox filler plug (it can be tight and a bugger to remove on a 360 due to proximity of the tank). I've just replaced the side cover gasket on my GLT and it's just about possible to remove the side cover without dropping any of the drivet...

Re: 360 carby fuel supply

I was about to recommend the third to reverse trick, it's pretty common - I tend to do it by default now as it seemed to make for a smoother gear change to reverse in a couple of previous 300's!

Re: 360 carby fuel supply

Hopefully that's fixed it, nothing more annoying than a knocking exhaust! I ended up having to get a stainless one made for the GLT as the aftermarket ones are so ill fitting nowadays, but it's not a cheap option!

Re: Opening up tail light and front light

Yeah you'll need to remove the front bumper to get to all of the headlight bolts, quite obvious once you've got the front bumper off, undo the bolts under the bumper caps and it will slide forward off the wing mounts.
