There certainly was Mick, a white car........ I'll look it out...... I started scanning them all one night and sending them directly to Aymat, got to silly o'clock and remembered work o'clock was looming. Any chance of you uploading the R-Sport brochure beforehand? I'd be plenty interested. Might b...

343 Oettinger and R-Sport Brochures

I've finally got around to scanning a couple of my rarer 343 brochures. I'm afraid I'm a pretty poor translator – so bear with me! 1979 Volvo 343 Oettinger http://farm1.static.flickr.com/139/388263453_a560414209_o.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/177/388263456_c9b8576624_o.jpg The 343 Oettinger, c...

Ugh, I remember that, [shudder]. She took a baseball bat to it.

5th Gear was trying to do the Toyota Pickup "toughness test" thing, and it didn't quite come over.

I absolutely love the new format - "we're all going on a caravanning holiday" or "how do I make a car swim" - great stuff. But I do miss old Chris Goffey and his "rear legroom's not too good on this Nissan Sunny" and William Woollard's wise words a bit as well though, and I reckon Clarkson was at hi...

I remember seeing that on Top Gear when it was originally aired and being really upset! Never like people destroying cars for "fun". Clarkson destroyed another 340 in 1996 by crashing it into a tree in his "Unleashed on Cars" DVD, allegedly because "its rubber bands keep snapping". http://img352.ima...

There were some pretty funky-looking reds & greens available up 'till 1986 as well. Shame most of them end up in the crusher ...

Not too sure about the browns available in 1976 though. Ugh ...

Following information only for real geeks like me :D I just had a quick look in my brochures. Aukki's "brown" was actually called "beige", and was only available in '83 and '84 in "Tweed" and "Velours" trim levels. Dai's "cream" was also called "beige" but was a much lighter shade than the trim offe...

Aukki was looking for one door card in an odd colour, however I think it was a browny colour as opposed to cream, but it might be worth a PM. I searched for the thread and his link is now dead to the picture. Pete Aukki's were brown: here's the picture: http://kotisivu.dnainternet.net/arizona/kuvat...

I've got a spare lighter and panel in my cellar somewhere, but postage costs to Serbia are astronomical, and no PayPal as far as I can tell!

Does anyone bother with snow tyres in the UK? Over here they changed legislation recently stating that if you're cought in wintery conditions with "summer" tyres on you get fined, and if you have an accident, your insurance doesn't pay. Totally daft blanket rules, they apply equally whether you live...
