Re: d16 radiator leakage

1) Where is the temperature switch for the fan on your car? Is it above the bottom hose on the right side?

2) Where is the top hose on your car? At the very top of the side tank or 1/3 the way down?

Re: d16 radiator leakage

There is not new radiators in the market, I don't know what the differences are, but I would guess they are minor, let's look: Volvo parts Petrol 1.7 B172 radiator (-Ch. 206298): Pt. Should you get stuck again, the motors are used in quite a few cars and are made by a German company Brose.

Re: Saved from the scrapyard, an old friend returns......

I think it's a useful consumer tool to check validity of the paper receipt since they went cheap abd stopped issuing proper certs.

Wouldn't put too much emphasis on advisories as some testers write some right old garbage.

Re: Saved from the scrapyard, an old friend returns......

It's the new improved MOT History service from Gov.uk (old cert or V5C ref number no longer required) https://mot-history.net I'm amazed ... data protection and all that. Yeah, but the general public need to know that the stars are maintaining their cars  And you get gold like this over on Auto...

FIgure 37 near the bottom of this page: http://www.iftim.cn/BodyElectrical/LightingSystem/AutomotiveLightBulb.htm I've just looked the green book up, funny they list those two pieces as separate parts: VDO: 966326 - bulbholder, qty 15 942327 - bulb, qty 15 SMITHS twist-in round flange, square back (...

Apologies, thinking about those early Smiths dashes up to c. 1980 with the push in holders, the twist in holders with bulbs attached are:

12V 1.2W BX8.4d

e.g. OSRAM 2351MFX6

Those bulbs? Bog standard stuff from the car parts store. Capless things that push into those holders.

ETA: 286 bulbs. (12v 1.2W capless)

Re: '82 343 DLS Service Day 4: clock fitted

No rush for the clock - hold on for now in case another parcel needs to be made up ;)

I'd attach the brown things back to the body (and see if the gauge is less sticky??)

Is the voltage stabiliser thingy is sound and making good contact?
