Re: 300 series steering column/steering rack problem

Mines a 1.7 340 saloon, I bought the recon rack off a guy on here so I have no idea if its an ebay special, I like the idea of the bamboo but I think I'll just cut it and weld it, hopefully straight :S

Re: Coilovers?

Interesting read! Going to have to do this, so if I sent some bare struts to gaz, bought some s13 top mounts and got a strut brace made up I.could happily fit them? When you order them, you need to have them done F1 moto style, or 2inches short and the top of the damper rod mahcined to take an s13 ...

Shortening steering arm for more angle?

Is shortening the steering arm a good idea for more steering angle and is it really as simple as shortening it or do you need longer tie rods?

like this

saw on the sr20 360 thread them guys did it but they had a mental steering rack.

Re: Coilovers?

I was reading the SR20 340 thread on driftworks, they've done the same thing, looks the bollocks, they put a roller bearing in aswell as the rose joint on the top mount so it has less strain, think i'll go with the s13 top mounts as i want to adjust the camber :)
