Re: Burning oil smell?

A (partly) clogged PCV system could cause the smell. PCV system's oil separator box is at the intake side of the engine so the stronger smell at the passenger side would also point that way. Here's a thorough guide for checking and cleanin the PCV system. It's written for 700-series cars, but it's t...

Re: Big Volvos

Of course, but TIC diesel- turbo intercooled 6cyl made by VW. S90 was never and most of the 960s were never available with a diesel engine. Some of the early model 960s with old front end were equipped with D24TIC but those are quite rare. None of the newer body 960s and S90s had diesel engines. Of...

And change that turbo water cooling because like I wrote it can cause serious air locks if it's connected like that. ;)

Re: B230fk converted 360 over heating problem

The water hose from turbo which you have now plumbed in to the top port of overflow reservoir is originally plumbed with a t-piece in to the hose which goes from the radiator to the lower port of the expansion tank. It's generally not a good thing to plumb anything above the expansion tank (except t...

Re: Custome's "MM Styling" 360

I like the current look. No 13" mini wheels with wrong ET-number and wheels poking 10cm out of the arches for this car please! :D

Current look is something which could have rolled out of a factory in the 80's, just perfect. :P

Re: Rack end

Second confirmation for the early non-PAS male-male one not to have the same collar as the PAS male-male one. I went and bought one early non-PAS one for experimental use. :D http://www.elisanet.fi/mtn//images/autot/volvo-misc/300srj/rackend/1.jpg http://www.elisanet.fi/mtn//images/autot/volvo-misc/...

Re: Rack end

There seems to be two of the earlier non-PAS male-male tie rods in stock at the local parts store so I'll go tomorrow and check out if it's similiar or not. :P

Re: Rack end

Ok my mistake, that does seem to be a male-male tie rod for early non-PAS by looking at the OEM part code reference. I thought that every male-male track rods are for PAS. So are the rack side threads on early non-PAS male-male tie rods different or does the length of the rod differ much from male-m...

Re: Rack end

I wouldn't worry about the year model listed as it's wrong in every 300-series part in that catalouge. 02/1976 > 07/1971 Here's a direct link on. http://www.redaelliricambi.it/english/catalogue5.asp?codice=¯omodello=68&combo=6802/1976%20%3E%2007/1971&marca=36&codicearticolo=9-306 But I don't kno...

Re: Rack end

TRW used to manufacture those but their online catalog says "discontinued" for the PAS ones. One which is worth to check is Radaelli Ricambi. Even though it's an Italian manufacturer, the parts are surprisingly good. Many Italian automotive joints aren't as good. I've had Radaelli Ricambi tie rods (...

Failed due aging probably. Though early 340s did have poor quality interiors.

Re: PLEASE READ.

True and country specific vehicle classes, which differ from a standard registered road going car would still exist as usual. For example in Sweden you can register a vehicle as a single production car/hand built car if it has a specific amount of parts (percentage) which are not from an original pr...

Re: Fuse's 360GLT

The car's been mainly undriven for whole summer. I've been having a bit of motivational troubles. Quite honestly I got fed up with the constant repairs, which the car required while I was daily driving it so I've been keeping a bit of a pause and I've been mainly driving the S90. But now I've got th...
