No, there are two located on the outer edge of the central plastic grill which has Volvo written on it, they come in from the top once the bonnets open. Your picture shows the central part which is all ok on my car...

My car is an E reg and manufactured in 1988 and it has the spring/clip that holds the central plastic grill/panel on to the car in front of the radiator...

EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT PLATE?
I have recently noticed a vibrating sound when my cars revs are low. According to a friend its the exhaust manifold heat plate/shield vibrating against the beginning of the exhaust. He told me to bend it away from the exhaust by pushing a long metal bar against it! Thing is, which way do I bend it? ...

Thanks Chris, Im lucky that I've found an old school mechanic who is honest and good at his job; Ok he's more expensive than a lot of mechanics I've used but I guess you get what you pay for?...

My bearing has been replaced as of this morning; the mechanic is an old boy who has guaranteed his work. Apparently when he set the correct torque he was able to stake the ...

Update: A Danny Muijtjens from Dafhobby just replied to my recent email and said he can supply me with said nut for £1.75 and that he could post it in an envelope! The bearing kit is made by front line. That's annoying news about the hub nut; I cant get a stake nut on its own from anywhere. Fortunately I have the stake nut that's still on there and two others, all of which have been staked a few times but Im sure one of them will work. My local Volvo dealer co...

My wheel bearing kit arrived at dinner time today and I noticed that the 24mm hub-nut is silver and has a blue plastic collar on the top edge; Im guessing this is a self-locking nut and that I wont need nor be able to stake it into place?...
