No cut them in half and weld back together wider than before.

Re: Hello again

Ok. I just landed 1977 Volvo 66GL at my garage.
It was cheap and rusty and there's a nice moss growing on it :)
Hasn't been driven for 10 years.

We'll see where this leads...

Re: Bolt pattern and ET on Volvo/DAF 66 wheels?

Changing the bolt pattern with all the work can come more expensive than 3x108 minilites.
120 euros a piece for the minilites.

One cheap solution is to bread the steel wheels that I already have several rounds.

Re: Bolt pattern and ET on Volvo/DAF 66 wheels?

Or 4x108 if you want cheap minilites.
Why's that?

Re: Bolt pattern and ET on Volvo/DAF 66 wheels?

Why I want this information? My car where I could measure these is away at the museum (70 miles). I'm thinking of buying a project car and thought of the minilites. If I buy a project car I could do all the pervert modifications that I just couldn't do on previous one. What other cars have 3x108? Pe...

Scary...I've heard this from MANY different sources. Maybe a GS is a waste of money and time.

Re: Ford selling Volvo to Geely?

Well this was confirmed today. China calls. I did a quick self-searching over this and this might not be such a bad thing after all. Maybe we see more aggressive models and designs than before. After all china is where the money's going besides 12 russian oligarks. Chinese aren't too interested in e...

Re: Hello again

Hello again :) One circle is closed. Car that I bought from Germany is now placed at the Parkano Car Museum here in Finland. Fairly easy project that turned out to be rare promo sales unit from 1975. Now it's saved, restored and at a safe place where anyone can see it free of charge. Case closed...t...

Re: Gear or bearing noise (CVT)

Yup...but how am I supposed to get the tail piece loose. The clutch shaft is pressed? into the bearing...I removed the prop shaft and the four bolts that keep the end piece in place but now what?
