Jesus - it feels like I've walked in on my wife with another man

Take care of the old girl, but always drive her hard - she likes it that way

Re: limiter?

No points, no limiter on it either that ever found - but then I never really revved the balls off it. No point, you get more power by changing up

Re: Battery Charger & what brings us here...

In 1995 I was a skint student - I wanted a hatchback with GTi performance for less than a grand with cheap insurance. There was no cheaper 2.0 litre injected car to insure back then. I really wanted a Mk2 Golf GTi but I couldn't afford one. Lucky escape  My dad had been driving 240's and a very...

Re: Retro Rides

I have gone back to the opinion that a handful of people on RR are geniuses, and most others are pillocks :( Never has so much crap been sprouted by so few. Apart from on Renault forums. We are so lucky we normally attract people with at least 2 brain cells to rub together on here. I agree - this i...

Re: air locking diffs

Yes, I believe a custom quaife LSD is about 600 bucks. I think the Fogster looked into it once. They're very well made and built from unbreakatainium. I think they want you to order at least 10 of them though. It's a fair price really. Their standard units usually come in at about that price. You ju...

Re: power loss in subzero temp??

If the battery light stays on on start up - give it a good rev, and it should click off.

Batteries hold a lot less juice when it's very cold. Don't know what caused you to stall - I doubt it if it was lack of power to the ignition circuit - maybe something unrelated.

Re: 360 Wiper arms X2

You could always glue them onto the shaft with epoxy resin - cheap and nasty but will almost definitely work.

Re: Adhesive for Volvo Badges (and other bits & bobs)

Thanks for your help on this guys. I bought a new strut and now my head is no longer in danger when loading the boot. The clock has now mysteriously started working again. However, the battery (which was brand new about 2-3 months ago) has become flat. I took it to a local Wilco and they did a litt...

Re: 360 overheating

BTW - you have a B200E I've had thermostats stuck open, before, but not stuck closed - but no reason it shouldn't happen especially if it's been standing a while. Cheap and takes minutes to change. Buy one from German Swedish & French. Radiators are never the strongest element of a V300. Nothing fro...

Re: Child seat?

Good point, Tom and thanks for your concern. I did think about this after posting. Basically I posted a description of what I did - I have edited my description a little to reflect this. Anyone who modifies their seatbelts do so at their own risk and I take no responsibility for the consequences. An...

Re: Child seat?

Most child seats will fit. The problem with fitting one in a V300 is "buckle crunch". The female buckle is on a piece of webbing, making it too long. This means the buckle sits over a part of the seat. In an accident situation lateral forces act on the closed buckle, crunching it, and can mean it ca...
