On a 3/5 door hatch, the rear window opens as part of the tailgate.

4 door saloons have a fixed rear window.

It works both ways imo. When you have owners of these cars who refuse to pay anything but coppers for parts, do you really expect them to be the type to look after and repair their cars in the most suitable fashion? Yeah.

Remove it all as one. Then separate the brackets from the bumper reinforcer imo.
If the bolts attaching the brackets to the chassis legs are seized/rounded off, break out the grinder.

It makes sense to replace them anyway.

Whip out the four bolts that attach the bumper brackets to the rear legs.
It's a right chew on removing the bumper with brackets still on car.
