Thanks Mac, I need to look at the documents when I get home but I'm pretty sure it's UK supplied - first registered 01/01/85. It has a good dealer history which suggests that the 56,000 miles is authentic - an average of 2,500 per year! By the weekend I'll have added 1,000 miles in 3 weeks... I susp...

Thanks guys. Automatic heated seats sound good - I'll let you all know if it has them in the winter! The seats are actually more plush IRL than they look in the photos - definitely a step up from the ones in the Mk III I used to run around in. That Mk III had the swtiched seats, hence my confusion. ...

Unusual Spec?
Hi there again everyone. I'm still very happy with my new acquisition introduced here but was talking to some fellow enthusiasts at a recent RWDVolvos meet at the weekend. It struck us a being somewhat rare. It's a Mk II 340 GL with the 1.4 engine and 5 speed gearbox but it appears never to have had...

One thing to be aware of - listen carefully for pinking. That car was probably designed for four star, so really needs super unleaded now. A later Renix unit with more conservative ignition timing will help (I have one), but if you can stomach it, run it on super. Those B14s seem to like to pop the...

Thanks She'll be getting an oil and filter change done shortly - the previous owner did the plugs etc. and air filter but not oil about 1,000 miles ago. I plan to take a closer look underneath over the summer and see what rust prevention needs doing before the salty roads and wet winder weather. And...

New here - just bought a 340 on ebay...
I thought I ought to say hello since I've been lurking here a short while. That said, there are some familiar posters here from my use of the VOC Forums and RWDVolvos... I needed a new daily runner so I was trawling round ebay and ended up buying this 1985 340 1.4 GL. It's not immaculate but seems t...
