Has anyone got a spare one of these lying around? http://farm1.static.flickr.com/109/365914235_46ea4785d1_o.jpg Mine literally blew away in that storm last week, and the car looks a bit lop-sided without it! Would be grateful for any offers ... <edit> The one I need should have "LH" written on the b...

That's settled then, 6-dial dash is being ordered. In the meantime, if anyone's got a spare temp sender lying around, let me know :)

The Smiths gauges are fairly priced, but not really "cheap" - around 25 Pounds for both plus p+p. I suppose I could act as a middleman if anyone needs them ...

At least, I THINK it's a Smiths dial: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/154/356020226_ae7e546cdf_m.jpg Thanks for your offer Dai, the same guy has also got a VDO 6-dial dash for sale (unfortunately without wiring / manifold tapping / temp ...

Will Smiths gauges fit in a VDO dash?

I'm thinking of fitting an econometer and an ambient temperature gauge to a my VDO dash. Unfortunately, the one's I'm being offered are older, Smiths instruments. Will the Smiths gauges fit? The "blue leaflets" seem to show they do differ a little ... Smiths amb temp http://www.volvo300mania.com/tec...

This type of "cavity cover" http://www.volvo300mania.com/pictures/access89_17.jpg seemed to be on offer from 1983 (maybe earlier) up to 1989. The 1990 ones are flatter. Strange, that they should change their design in the last years of production. I'll take a quick picture of that page this evening ...

As far as I know, 185 kmh is the highest "official" top speed quoted by Volvo for any 360: http://www.volvo300mania.com/pictures/cat85_22.jpg 185 kmh is 114.95 mph. But most brochures quote the injected 360s as doing 180 kmh (111.85 mph). Unlikely you'd notice the difference on the road though... So...

yeh what actually is the top speed of a 360? Depends on your engine. A 1983 360 with a 90 bhp carb engine is supposed to do 165 kmh (103 mph). A 1985 360 GLT reaches 185 kmh (115 mph). MkIII versions with injected B200E engines are marginally slower, having 109 - 113 bhp depending whether they're f...

For the Mk III I've got German versions of the 1988 (incl. price list) and 1990 accessory brochures, but they don't differ much from the 1989 French brochure listed here: http://www.volvo300mania.com/access89a.htm http://www.volvo300mania.com/access89b.htm In 1990 they seemed to change the design of...

Emigrate over here if you like. No speed limits on the Autobahn (ever seen 200kmh / 125mph) on a 360 speedo before? :D

Still won't help though. That Edinburgh / Stuttgart thing is a new EU rule, you'll have to go far to get away from that lot ...
