Are there any high lift cams that fit B130 or should I grind one myself?
I assume I can use stock lifters, pushrods and valve rockers?

Re: Gear or bearing noise (CVT)
ehm...I tried removing this but the clutch shaft seems to be pressed into this bearing. It is really stuck anyways.

Gear or bearing noise (CVT)
Whirrlllll...noise if i drive at steady speed. No noise if I accelerate hard or if I release the throttle at high speed. On steady speeds it's there sometimes. Sounds like gear noise. I tested it with putting gear to N and revving up until the clutch engages. I can hear it then too. Did inspect the ...

Re: Vibration (CVT)
No obvious cracks or tears. All little cracks are vertical not horizontal. Guess I'll have to change the belts. One thing that does promote to belts is that when vibration stops after a few miles and I make a sharp 90 degs turn vibration sometimes starts again for a while. I have another problem wit...

Re: Vibration (CVT)
I did the ATF thing and no change at all. Any ideas on the vibration?
Belts are tight, there is no oil or grease in the belts, no rust in the sliding surfaces.
Belts are too worn?

Re: suitable engines for volvo 66
If you count even £100 for the new engine and labour, you will drive quite a while with that money as it is...fuel consumption isn't that much better with similar cleon engine no matter how much smaller it is. Make a LPG or E85 conversion out of the one you already have and put your pennies into that?

Re: suitable engines for volvo 66
If you are planning to use original clutch and variomatic gearbox there are problems with B14 engines. I can't see that it's worth the effort. Go for the original B130 with machined camshaft, bigger valves, clear the airways in the head, use good header, larger exhaust and two weber 40 carburetors. ...

Re: Sender thread size and few questions
Thank you. One down. Now I need a M16 oil temp sender to use as a sump plug for my oil temp gauge. VDO has one for Saab 900 that has the right scale too 0-150 celsius. This is how it's made in VDO gauges. With sump plug or dipstick senders. Like this one: http://www.machine7.com/shopimages/products/...

I thought of blowing air with the syringe with hose attached to it...might be a little easier.

Re: Sender thread size and few questions
"a set of 300 monroe air shocks with control panel"...I tried
This is a set with compressor and air lines to the shocks. Similar to 200-series ones but for 300.
I had this set in my old 360 and was quite pleased with it.

Re: Sender thread size and few questions
Why bother? I have air shocks for 300 (the ones you can raise the rear from switch on dashboard)...if they'd fit they would be nice extra.

Sender thread size and few questions
Does anyone know the thread size in Volvo 66 1300 engine on water temp sender and oil pressure sender? I also need the thread info on the sump plug. Also if anyone can tell if the 300 and 66 rear shock absorbers are same? I found oil temp, oil pressure and water temp gauges and will order senders wh...
