Re: Brake Upgrade

Right, So I've changed the calipers and hoses and now have a little problem...The brakes won't release after being applied! I've bled the front two brakes. Do I need to do the backs as well? I'm pretty sure that there's not air in the system, as the pedal feels firm.... I've not run up the engine ye...

Re: Brake Upgrade

Well, I have the calipers and disks on now... But one side is sticking again! Grrrr! It requires a little bit more debugging, but stay tuned folks!

Re: Driving to Vietnam. Yep.

Depending on how long you want to take....You could do it BY BIKE!

A couple of my mates have just set of to Kathmandu under pedal power...It's going to take them 8 months though they reckon!

Think it took them about 3 months of planning at least!

Re: B14 Carb and water pump

Hi Dan,

the plan with my 1.4 is to get the Renault engine in in the next few months. Which means that my (35k) 1.4 engine will very likely be surplus to requirements. How urgently do you need the bits?

Re: Options for suspension (unlowered)

Cool, I'll do something like that then maybe. Couldn't do me a favour and take a pic of your leaf setup? I just wanna see what you mean about the bolts. Afraid I can't get a photo, as I've not been near the 300 in about 3 months! But I've drawn you a picture, which should make the situation clearer...

Re: Options for suspension (unlowered)

Hi mate, You could run what I'm running, just without the lowering blocks at the back. Double leaf springs, KYB 'Gas-A-Just' shock on rear. Stiffer springs on front, and more viscous oil in the dampers. My front's not gone down at all with the springs I'm using either. They're 200lb/in springs from ...

Re: March 14th - National Railway Museum York

Parking in York is expensive.... I know of a few places about 20 mins walk away which might be free to park on a sunday...But aren't great as a meet up point. If people are opposed to paying £7 just to park their cars, let me know and I'll suggest other parking places. I.E there's big free car parks...

Very nice.

Had my eye on a newer manta which parks up around my Uni lately. That's nice, but this is a whole league above :D

Yes. And the direction of the bolts is across the car, rather than front to back. I actually snapped the bolts they were rested so much last time i removed a bumper!

Anyone looking for a Volvo 850?
