A5 drive again? planning ahead 2015!!!

Post by classicswede » 17 Jun 2013 11:43 pm

Planning well ahead here but does anyone fancy revisiting this?

http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... &hilit=a55

I was thinking of making it a bit bigger and offering other older Volvos to join in. Would be so funny to have a very long line of Volvo's filling the A5

With having lots more time to plan I was thinking we could have a number of different meeting points along the way

As last time a steady pace so everyone can soak up the scenery.

Is there interest here before I start getting ahead of myself planning something out. I'm not expect commitment at this stage as we all know things will change in 12 months time.

Spring or end of summer for it?

It might be an idea to make this the area for the 300 National Weekend for next year. Spend the Saturday driving around and the Sunday at somewhere like the Welsh Slate Museum with a visit to the Snowdon Mountain Railway in the morning. There's a possibility for those inclined to go on some other narrow gauge railways, or for people to go hillwalking or even bugger off to the Mach Loop.
Terms and conditions apply. This post may go down as well as up. Regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Hard hats to be worn. No reversing without a banksman. No admittance to unauthorized persons. Stop that. Put that down. Leave that alone.

Hi Lads.
Might just think about this one. Off the four home nations, Wales
is the only part of the UK i have never managed to get to :( :( :(
Cheers Mark.

Not a bad idea to be fair. What does Foggy think about this? My concern would be distance for best atendance

I'm definitely in favour, and I think it could certainly form the basis of the national event for next year.

Nothing as yet, still early in the year. I will try and come up with some date options.

I'd be up for this, but I have struggled to find suitable venues for making it the 'national' event. I thought I was on to something with the Morgan factory tour, but it turns out they only open on weekdays :-/

Spring 2015 meet?

cheers

Oddly I had been thinking about this today.

How would sometime in April or May sound?
