The VOC have been really pushing it's the VOC rally this year, not just a BKV comp, which I reckon is a step in teh right direction too. Foggy, I'll be at yours about 6ish, I had washed the car, but 2 accidents yesterday forced me to back lane it to Swin, and it's was a nadger muddy, and then I found a couple of fords to play in too... so my cars a state again  :o

I also need to fix my snowcap back on

Previous plans have now gone out of the window! What with the weather today and a somewhat wasted day today, I won't be going to the BKV, I think I'll have to do some work instead. I'd have liked to have gone, as last year was a good turnout and a nice meet. My membership has expired too, and I can't be bothered to rejoin yet either, plus it's a long old way to go for me. I'll be there next year all being well instead!

Carl, I'll send the bits instead, reverting back to plan A rather than plan B of using the Mr Chris C courier service to Southampton!

Dai, sorry about the wheel well, we'll have to sort something out if you are desperate, but I hope to be at any meets later on it the year!

Foggy, we'll talk on MSN about the logistics of the other items.

Pete

I'd rather drive a car that the doors shut smoothly on than have one sat in the garage 360 days a year with half the doors resprayed shut anyway!

Chris won the "longest journey to the BKV" with his marathon 700 mile round trip... with no stops whatsoever! honest guv'nor!

LOL! Indeed, you should get twice as many points for that, a) having greased the door hinges for taking care of the car and doing maintenance and using it, and secondly b) for getting a judge with grease!

Well done Rupert and Chris!

Wasn't quite a 700 round trip, didn't come home via Swindon ;) 660 in the end!

And it just said in the book to write how far you'd come.. so I wrote the distance I read off my trip earlier! Was funny seeing Ted's face when he saw Fake had a trophy on it's bonnet  Still, gave me a chance to introduce myself to him!

I'll go when they have a national down south. At the moment it's raining and the car's safely in the garage. Congrats on the prize Chris :)

Having said that you should have seen the state of the wheel arches the other day. Filled with mud and dung and gravel. Country lanes in bad weather suck :(

Fear not, the next morning I hosed them clean and got the car back in the dry before the rain came ;)
