Hope everyone's had a safe trip back and have thoroughly defrosted now! Good to see some new faces, shame about Poole's Cavern running the Santa thing, though... Cracking scenery for some photo's though, here's the best of mine: (large versions are on the v3m flickr account http://www.flickr.com/photos/15628951@N07/)

Well, got home at 6:30pm, left at 6:30 am, which isn't bad really!

Cheers for a great day guys, nice to see some new and old faces.

Some spectacular pictures should be appearing from the peaks.

At least the Volvo heaters are good, needed it as it was a pretty nippy day when we got up to the Cat and Fiddle!

Pete

*Edit, pictures appeared as I was posting. Some really good shots there, stunning scenery.

Mick, I didn't realise you were going back to the Cat and Fiddle, thought you were following us back!

Great to see you guys. Apologies for my late arrival!

I have a few pics, but they're rather like Steve's, and my hosting is broken :(

cheers

It was great to see a good turn out for a cold day and so close to this Christmas melarky!

Got a nice shot or two of your 855 Pookie with the sun on the roofline, I'll post them up later.

A really good road that up to the Cat and Fiddle, and I didn't see the best bit from what I heard, as we went back the way we came.

I think that's my best shot of the day, I'll have to wait for the film to be developed now!

These first two are probably my favourites, Pookie's 855 with the sun setting over the roof.

Anyone would think it was Christmas or something........

I know several people were very upset that the queue was so long at the Poole Cavern to see Santa and missed out on meeting him. Sadly these things happen!

A great meet guys. Somewhere in the region of 300 miles for me, well worth it! The vario performed perfectly, it's probably the furthest it has ever been from where it spent most of it's life in Aylesbury! I thought it would get a bit annoying on the motorway as 75 mph is about 4500 rpm, but it was fine! It coped really well with the twisty roads and hills, pulling up them really strongly.

Let's start thinking about arranging something next year.

Looks like the next photo comp will have to be titled "Volvo line-ups with frosty background" :-)

Some superb photography there!

pookie, your a really interesting bloke. i reckon you will have some good stories about you old motors and to hear your 850R is a 300bhp monster got me interested  i like the idea of a T5 with that power.
good body work too.

got to ask but does anyone have any 850 parts? (sorry non 300)
