Christmas Meet - 16th December - Peak District

Post by SteveP » 22 Oct 2007 02:07 pm

Just thought a meet before Christmas may be a good idea, a busy time for everyone but a pub lunch or something along those lines would be good....

What do people think?

A great idea, particularly if the meet's between Christmas and new year :-)
I'll be in the UK around then ...

+1

I get 2 weeks off for the factory shutdown, spanning xmas and new year. Would be well up for any length of drive.

Nice idea.

I think that it's about time that Foggy and Nibbles had their housewarming party that they've been on about for ages.

So that's it settled - 29th december at 1 Melbourne Place, Lincoln........

Oh really? Good thing he got the address wrong :-P

To be fair, the house is not really in a fit state for a party, courtesy of a plumbing disaster!

cheers

i vote midlandish or the north......because thats easy for me :?

i say if its winter time (which technically Xmas is sm59 ) then we should head for a hilly looking area with snow for some great pictures.

just an idea as i have been to a few meets with my bmw and they look a bit sh~t in a service station car park :?

How about somewhere in the peak district? Plenty scenic enough, and it's in the right part of the world for your criteria.

cheers

Yeah sounds good to me! Definitely keen for this to happen, a nice get together in the morning, stop for a really good pub lunch somewhere then head out for a drive and nice scenery.

Ricatron is spot on about the photos, somewhere where a line up can be taken that we can be proud of. I remember the picture in the top right of the site of the line up, it was decided the hedge as a background would work well, avoid any French FWD tat getting into the pictures etc! As you say, service stations and carparks are always the best places to meet due to the space available, but if we could find an offroad parking area to cater for all of us, overlooking some stunning scenery we'd be laughing!

Looks like we should have a few new V3M'ers along as well as the usual suspects, looking forward to it.
