Easter '05

Had a belting time on sunday, even if i was without car!
I think, in order to get an even better turn out than sunday, i think now would be perfect time to start thinking about a date and location, plus, if we can get a date reasonably early, then anyone needing to get across from the continent (duvel, francois, etc) can "book early and avoid disapointment"!
I'm voting for a sunday again (to avoid any traffic problems) and maybe the week before easter (end of march), or around whit (may-june ish).
it's gotta be even bigger than gaydon!
discuss!

perhaps further south, to make it easier for us southcoast boys as well as the lads from foreign lands?

I think Hugh is right (although it means I have to travel more grr!) but if Duvel and Francois would like to come, it would certainly make it easier for them. In Easter the days will be longer anyway!

No only joking ,theres alway Beaulieu (is that spelt right ) couldn't get much further South I know but perhaps those traveling could stop overnight on the Saturday and make a weekend of it , much better for anyone coming over from Europe as well , Discuss

Whatever you plan, us turbobrick's guys would be happy to attend (thats if we are invited to!). Likewise with any of our future meets, im sure a load of RWDers will be welcome.
On a side note, im sure a go at the pod is on the cards at somepoint next year (im going to beet chesh if i have to melt the engine trying!), along with weekend pissups etc, all to be desided next year.

I'm sure no-one would mind the Turbobricks guys joining, it was good for some variation.. infact I'm convincing my mate to buy a 740 or 940 for his next car at the moment!
Look forward to some future events!

thing is, none of us lot (in this country) have any more than stock power, as a result of which we'd all just get dissapointed if we stuck our cars on a rolling road cos we'd find out just how weak they are!

I appologise!
I should have said,
"discuss, using the sources A through G the possible effects of the mobilisation of the V3M army in the early 21st century"
and ofcourse the TB guys will be invited! making a weekend of it does sound like a good idea, maybe even a weekend by the sea?

I am up for an easter mate but it does depend on the dates. I am meant to be on holiday in norfolk on the easter week so if you can miss that, it would be good!
As for none of us running more that stock power, are you talking about 300's only?

Actually many of us don't - I must have the only modded car to have less power than stock (the LPG car that is!!)
It's more about wanting to change our cars from standard spec, be it new alloys, extra gauges, stiffened suspension, more power etc etc.
Only about 60% of the turbobricks members have Turbos, the main thing is a desire to personalise your RWD Volvo - anything that would warrant an entry in the non-standard category at the VOC is enough.
As for future joint meets, count me in!!
