He may well have a breakthrough on the camping front, as he's highlighted that most sites might not want us...large groups of men, no problem....but car enthusiasts...?! RUN AWAY!

The current plan is for me to organise the Sunday at Crich, and Rupert will deal with the Saturday drive, with the camping being a joint effort. Given that Chris was also involved with convincing me to make this happen, he's got off very lightly!

Since lists tend to get people a bit fired up, shall I start one?

1) Foggy
2) Rupert
3) Mac
4) Adam
5) SteveP
6) Chris
7) MickT
8 ) Andy (HD)
9) Tom?
10) Sion (1980 345)
11) A wincing, tentative VND*

cheers

* - Possibly. Might drive down after work (finish 2100) saturday night/stupid early sunday morning and be there for Sundays fun.
Ill only be rocking 740 most likely. If I can afford the sexjuice.

May I also suggest perhaps a bit of a photography session for those into it... I'd love some rolling shots of my car and it might be a good time to get one! (Motivation to get my carb issues ironed out...)

I'm up for this, although I will have to be in something embarrassingly FWD, because all my 300s are either garaged or rusty :(

Photos sounds good too. If anyone's up for it I can film for a Youtube video.

Oh, also I don't have a tent......probably should buy one before the event :)

There's a rumour that the Farrellian Institute of Wood Drilling will be making a rare appearance too.

Me and Michelle are half tempted to book in at the Premier Inn type establishment at Ashbourne... due to being totally unprepared for camping this year and coming back from a wet holiday in Cornwall no longer trust the english weather

We've just bought a tent so we'd better not be on our own in the field!

Any more news on campsite location? No livestock in the field please

Now that Helldriver has bought a tent there's still the option of using my 4 man tent. It has 2 totally separate bedrooms so that's you in one and Michelle and I in the other!

I've still got a (alleged) 2 man tent spare that's really only suitable for 1 person (or two if they like getting cosy with each other - Farrell and pettaw perhaps.......?).

Equally the Co-op have two person pop-up tents for sale for about £20 or ordinary ones for £15 - I doubt they'll last very long but they will be ok for occasional use.

I've got a list of campsites that look like they'll be suitable for our needs and I shall be going and driving the proposed route tomorrow to work out timings, photo stops, lunch stops etc. I'll also call in at the campsites and see about their suitability and how open they are to having bbq's etc and then book one depending on the reactions.

@Rupert - You cheeky b'stard!

I reckon I might take a look at some tents tomorrow and see what's on offer. Especially as someone mentioned a Scotland camping trip in 2011... I also have a small single ring gas stove and frying pan that I could bring
