Technical Specs Volvo 360gle
have recently acquired a volvo 360 gle for my daughter but have no manual. Urgently need basic tech specs eg:- tyre pressures, fuses, fuel etc
fuel - any unleaded
tyres - 27 front, 30-35 rear depending on load. i normally overfil a tad cos mine always have slow leaks
fuses are all under the bonnet nearish the steernig wheel.
what else do you need to know? check oil and coolant levels..
ebay is a cheap source of owners manuals. i've got a couple lying about myself.

on a 360 its powered by viscous coupling. that means that it should go round at different speeds depending on how hot it is, and maybe not go round when the engine is cool. however viscous couplings get old, and the fan tends to go round all the time

Just quoting some basic stuff from Haynes
Fueltank: 57 Litres
Motoroil: 4.5 Liter
Weight with driver (B200) 1100Kg
Cooling system liquid (B200): 7 Liter
Ask anything and i'll check if there's in Haynes. And by the way, dont use the scissor jack when lifting up the car to change wheels, and don't use the special lifting places on the side of the car. I did and when lifting the whole underneath just crashed together because of rusty metall and i had to turn it in to a car mecanich to weld it.
Buy a hydralic jack and lift on stronger places. When you lift the rear wheels you can lift on the De-dion axle.

nah, even the new ones go round when cold.
There seems to be some sort of misconception that the fans seize up when they get old. What actually happens is that the oil in them gets old and thin and they get weak and start to freewheel when they should be engaged, meaning you get insuffcient cooling particularly in traffic, and in my case, with the aircon on, because it loads up the engine more.
Look up "defective fan clutch" on google for more info on how they work and why they fail.
Edit: BTW if your engine is overcooling, which is put forward by some as evidence of fan clutch problems, then you need a new thermostat. The one in my 360 seems to go weak after a couple of years and you can see the running temperature starting to drop. Cost about a tenner for a proper Volvo one, which will function better than the cheapo GSF/ECP ones.
