Bits of useful info

Post by Chris_C » 13 Aug 2005 11:51 am

Ok, not super useful, but just been in to my local Volvo dealers, and he produced a really funky A4 folder with what he said was every accesory available for the 300. I've tried to inwardly digest most of the info, but he said I can go and have a nose whenever now he's found it.

It had all the fogs spots (theres loads) etc, 3 bodykits, the 2 different gauge panels, gauges, snowcap, GT wheel, 2 grill covers (the one I have and one for a Mk1 I think), both louvres, digital timer (not clock), taxi meter and about 10 different towbars.

There is an econ gauge that I'd never seen, but it didn't show the 'rare' one that Steve_P has.

Rear headrests were available covered and uncovered, for both saloons and hatches, with the hatch ones mounted on the hat shelf, on a metal bar.

There were also interior cabin heaters, better normal heaters (yeah, like we've been looking for those ;)) and heater timers.

The digital timer didn't fit where the clock does, and it said timer not clock, but hey.

Sorry this is a tad rambly, but I've been trying to actually remember as much as I can, I'm gonna try to ask the guy if I can borrow it for a night or two to scan next time I'm down there, not sure I'll be able to... we'll see. But, a flippin' useful find now I know where one is.

Oh, and while I was there, I got him to check availiblity on a few parts, just in case. Snowcaps, GT wheels, Gauge panel and louvres no longer available, what a surprise!!!

Good stuff Chris. That's the sort of find we need, as there are a few things that we have been assuming about these items, but that's really cool. If only they were still available, oh well, the search will be a bit mroe interesting if we know there were even more extras that we can look for. At least we'll know what to look for too. It's like your amp, I'd not have been looking under the passenger seats in 300's for an amp, but I will now.
