roll cages

Post by Janitor » 06 Aug 2004 04:27 pm

once the dark nights come,i will be road rallying my road car.thought about fitting a cage for a bit extra safety,check the following;

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your email.

We do not manufacture off the shell roll cage for Volvo 360. We can design,
manufacture and fit a roll cage designed to your requirements at our
Development Department. The cost of a 6 point bolt in cage with single door
bars, diagonal and harness bars would be £1600 plus VAT. We would require
the vehicle for a week. The earliest we could book you car in is in the
first week in July.

Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us
again.

Kind regards,

Norbert Truszczynski

for between £570-630,depending on pound/euro,i can get full cage with diagnols/door bars, tax, and delivery to my door from http://www.advancedautosport.com/info.htm !! the guy from here was most helpfull, ended up talking for ages

getting better.....can anyone find it cheaper or know of anywhere cheaper.

no no
alright for some motorsports(inc road rallys),but others have to be certified etc. cars are scrutineered by the motor sport association(MSA) for safety etc.

OMP are renowned for "cheaper than Safety Devices" cages. Might be worth a try.

Whereabouts will you be doing events? I'm doing my first road rally in the GLT in about a month down in the south. Due to money constraints the only mods it'll have is a set of decent tyres (i'm thinking A539s at the mo) and a set of M1144s on the front brakes (and decent fluid). Should be fun :D

Kevin Strong has a Safety Devices cage in his 360...and I can't believe he paid £1600 for it. Probably worth an email....

Could well be...or it might be an adapted version from another car.

Judge for yourself...
