I can't believe none of you plonkers have noticed that I've had the insides of my headlight buckets painted black for the last 3 years! Now that one is becoming popular, I'm clearly going to have to up my game...
cheers

I am tempted to put it on twin 32DIR webers as i have some for now, although my engine plans for a while now have been the B18FT from the 400series. I already have an engine to rebuild i just wanted to get body brakes etc done and the engine swap will be the last thing to do. Then just enjoy the car whilst building another one!!!
I need to get the brakes done by easter, then after that i can have the time to build the engine up.
Cheers Adam

Tart
Adam...Half of me says keep the B14, half says put the FT in...but an evil thought has just occured to me...drop the FT lump in and run it NA, thus giving a nice performance boost whilst also saving on insurance...and halving the workload when you come to bolt the turbo on.
Given your age (read: insurance hell), I'd probably keep the B14 bone stock to be honest.
cheers
James

I would stick with the 1.4 untill all your other running gear mods are done. That way your insurance should be ok and when you do fit the turbo lump it should not take you too long.
Ps have you obtained a B172 for sump etc?

There is a load of 1700's in my local Dai so i can pull a sump etc whenever!!!
As for that idea foggy its not a bad one although what would the 1700 turbo lump be like minus the turbo compression wise? And ruhn it carb or early injection???
Received some poly engine mounts from Dai today guess what i will be doing on friday!!! These are a must because due to the exhaust set up when cold the exhaust knocks on the chassis so the front engine mounts should eliminate this!!!
Cheers Adam

It'd be a touch low, but it'd work. Run normal turbo EMS...it'll just think you drive like a granny
