Sorry to hijack mr Chris sir.
The college where im doing my electrical engineering etc is a dedicated unit to that motor stuff, plumbing and brick laying. no disrespect, but i was quite shocked on how my knowlage (yea ok i worked in a garage a little while and helped my dad out most of my life) its right up with if not higher than the guys on thier second year of mechanics etc. had some really great chatage at lunch time, exchanged idea's and what have you. find myself talking to them rather than my sparky peers.

im lucky that i can do this in the massive unit they have, they even said i could bring my car in and use the ramps etc!

(impressed the tutors )
I find i have the theory but i lack in the doing. (like engine conversions) rebuilding i can do ish, helped my old man a few times. but none of this matters becouse when im all alone on my own fighting away in the cold and dark, i don't have anyone to check up on what the hell im doing! To make things easyer i got a mate or too round...one snag they don't know the differnce between a spanner and a screwdriver nor do they understand the likes of 1/2" 13mm etc - (just justifying why im talking soo long

)
as to welding Im on it John Cheeeers!!
And Chris Thanks for all your encouragement!! and Help!!
hmm yes i was at the pub...
