PCD is 4x100. any central bore.
Power between 1.4 and 1.7 isnt massive.
1.7 is easier to convert to a renault 16v engine (clio etc),
1.4 has a timing chain as opposed to rubber belt and is less prone to carb problems and is pretty much bulletproof.

Just depends what you want it for man.

Hope this helps.

What you got, Hi-Specs?

Do it man. Everything fits. Just need to knock up some adaptors. A few of may mates used to have Pugsport Rallyes, decent VTS's etc. Nice cars when set up well without all the crap stuck on bits.

300's looking cool. lol You don't hear that often. :D Mine's grown on me, but I still don't really like the front. lol

If youre engine swapping, 1.7.
if insurance is an issue, 1.4.
Or you might as well get a 2litre GLT. The mpgs are similar and its more power if you want to slide.

Cyclones needed on da Paxo! Nice motor mate. 340pw

Like I say. I like them. I had some fun coming back from work yesterday morning. Arse hanging out (the car not me) lol.

Had a go against a G7 vvti Celica today also. 0-70ish and he only pulled a couple car legnths on me. Not bad IMO considering he is running something like 175bhp. He was going for it too cos I could hear it high revving and shouting through his SS back box. lol

I see what you mean. Some BBS RC's would look nice. :)

1700's are the best to convert to Clio 16v/Williams power or R5 GTT etc. 360's (2.0 carb and 2.0 injection) are the best for out of the box power an torque though and are easily converted to turbo power from 740/940's etc. I run a 360 carb and it's nice and torquey and will light up right through third in the wet without issue.

P!ss easy to lower. chop the front springs and replace the oil in the shocks for thicker stuff (or buy uprated shiz) and blocks in the back. Land Rover 90 front shocks are a straight fit ont he back and are the perfect compliment to 80/90w in the front shocks.

You can run 4x98 and 4x101.6mm PCD hoops too. You'll need wobble nuts though.

Other parts are harder to come by, depending on what you want. Most of the fun stuff (IMO) is free or as good as though if you don't mind getting yoru hands dirty and canfind a bargain. 340pw

not a fan of cutting springs down would rather do it properly.
parts easy to find/get hold off? like performance exhausts etc...

lol @ 'properly'. Not this old shit again. If the spring isn't progressive then it is fine and not pikey in the least.

Dopr Classicswede a PM if you wanna pay though. I don't think you can get uprated exhausts. What I have seen the lads just use Powerflow or similar custom builders. I plan to sort an exhaust for mine soon, ut I was gonna adapt something to fit.
