F7R is 2L, from Renault Megane or Clio Williams, F7P is 1.8, from Renault Clio. The f7p head has larger intake/exhaust channels from what I know.
For conversion is used, a F7 engine, F7 flywheel, v300 1.7 Bellhouse, clutch, engine mounts & Sump, and possibly alternator with bracket.

Longer stroke and a compression test would tell the difference. Also the engine plate number would start with F7R rather than F7P

To the right under the intake manifold near the dipstick. Not sure 100% because mine was taken off for painting and I never got around to re-fitting it.

Easy way to check, f7r (2.0 litre) dipstick is inthe middle of the inlet manifold and the f7p (1.8 litre) dipstick is 3/4 of the way along the manfold closer to the throttle body.
