Bush mechanics

And I am not talking about fixing your car when it breaks down in the outback (or Co. Tyrone).

Been looking at the rear radius arm bush and wondering how it rotates. I'm thinking that the bolt has to clamp the bonded sleeve hard against the chassis so that it doesn't rotate, all the rotation is taken up by the rubber (which has relief splits). Is it normal practice when converting to polybushes to make the sleeve non-bonded, like Classicswedes rear spring bushes. The sleeve/bush interface is then subject to wear, and relies on the washer/bolt to hold the bush in.
