Car Drifting To Left

I've just noticed that when I let go of my steering wheel when travelling slowly my car drifts to the left. I've just had four new tyres put on my car which were all balanced and I've also had my tracking done. Is this a common thing for a Volvo 340 to do?

Mine did, it's got a lot worse since I fitted 195s. Might be worth checking to see if your radius arm rubbers are deteriorating.

Are they to do with the turning circle of the car?

Most roads have a camber built in for drainage.

I'd be more concerned if it drifted right than left.

But I think that was mainly as I suck.

All suspension parts contribute to the directional stability. Anything slightly bent, joints worn etc will have an effect. Even if the car is perfectly aligned on the flat it might be out when there are some different forces such as road camber.

Yes it is common. Make sure all your bushes are good (<10 years old) although some are not available they don't seem to deteriorate as much (eg the leaf springs rear body bushes), and you rear axle is correctly adjusted on the radius arm. Checking wheel-wheel centres is also a good simple check that may show up some bent stuff.

I dont suppose it really matters as I'll have hold of the steering wheel 99.9% of the time!

both mine have done it, so radius arm bushes. it makes crunchy squeak like rusty see saw with large shocker compression.. ???

Im guessing my left one if its veering to the left? Are these still obtainable and how many would I need?

poly bushes are available easyish. rubber bushes can be found but best to learn swedish to find them ik think.

may sound obvoius but check your tyre pressures. Yes you've had 4 new tyres but you can damage a tyre when putting it on giving it a slow puncture, or one could of been incorrectly inflated. My Corsa used to this ALL the time, but if i made sure the tyre pressures were even it was all good.

Camber of the road is also very ture especaiilly with wider tyres. Does it pull under the braking? because thats not helpful lol!

No it doesnt noticably pull to the left when braking, only when I let go of the steering wheel at slow speed!

O right, have to check tyre pressure, if not it could well be a simply fix

I set all four tyres to 30 PSI every saturday at my local garage but its sill doing it. When I let go of the steering wheel at an incredibly slow speed it falls to the left as if being pulled by a weight!
