Turbo. Swapped mine from 2.0 carb to 2.3i turbo. They're as 'bomb proof' as an engine comes mate. SX woes... CA18DET? SR20DET's are normally fine if serviced!

Me want too. Easier to make a hybrid Chris?

I've been told finding a 16v head is hard enough.

Yeah, they are a pain. It'd be a bit of work but no more than a turbo, worth sourcing the parts for I'd imagine.

Sounds feasible. I shall start having a look. Worth having to one side if do find one.

The OP only wants standard power, and we're on the way to building him a 400 BHP nutter.

SR20det its an S14a spent 2 grand on it then the turbo started smoking heavy on it whilst i had no job its sat there for a year and half now, got a turbo just gotta get that on do some other bits and MOT then sell it. Everythings just to expensive for just having a bit of fun. Its ok if you dont have kids and a nagging missus to suck all the money out of ya !! I'll see how it goes for a while and try to get some money together after selling the 200 and my supermoto
