Folks, I tried to get a check strap pin (part No 3282546) but the main dealer cannot supply any more. Hinge pins are still available. Any clues on alternative source would be much appreciated (googling the part number gives a supplier in Ireland but no replies yet, so might be a blind alley). Maybe I can just get a generic spring pin at a spares shop! Cheers, bogbasic.

When I tried to order the check strap pins from Volvo a few years back, the guy gave me some V40 ones to try. I never did ... I should still have them flying around somewhere if you want to give it a go ...

Thanks Tom, the firm in Ireland got back to me to say that they can still supply from their stock of 8. I have ordered 2, so there might be 6 left in the world.
