I fancy doing sumthing daft. Is it possible to put a t5 motor in a 360. I'm not going to put it in my rally car I was thinking about buying another and sticking a different engine in it
Cheers
Liam.

There's at least 2 people on here in the process of doing so! Neither are close to completion though AFAIK

2.3 turbo, with a bigger snail would be easier, and cheaper.
Dunno about power comparisons though.

^ Run a stock B230FK/T at higher boost and you will be nudging 200 BHP. Won't be a million miles away from a stock T5. Although you will never rival the 16v for that 5 banger sound!

^ I thought that was just a fancy name.
He mentions it would be for another car though.

the 440/460 uses a 1.9 diesel Renault engine doesn't it? So in theory yes.

The block looks like it fits, it seems to have tapped bosses in all the right places for engine mounts to make it a bolt in but I've not actually measured anything.

would it be good transplant? power (ish) ecos? but what about the insurance? I looked at getting a 440 td but it was £400 more to insure. Could pick up an engine cheap. Half d5s seem to about £250
I ask about insurance becuase its only a mod you would do to save money, yet keep some power. Anyone know the power?

Better off with the F9Q than the 440 diesel. More mpgs and moar powarz! Same block
edit:
Looking here, I think they are the same engine as the 440. Think that the s40 engine deffinatly gets more power though?

Direct vs indirect injection makes it a no brainer... if the F9Q fits, and doesn't have something like the chain driven oil pump of the F4R and late F7R that is...
