Knock on anti-roll bar

I've got my MOT next week and today I noticed my anti-roll bar is knocking, think its one of the ball joins on the vertical bit, anyone know if this would be an MOT failure as i'm tempted to wait and see if it fails on more major things before I put more money into it,
cheers

If there is play it should fail but you may get away with it.

If you suspect there are othere things wait and see what it fails on.

Ive just found a 360 in a scrappy local to me but im going to wait and take it to kwik fit this afternoon to get them to check the alignment as I still have this steering trouble so i'll ask them to have a check about for me, at least that way if they find anything major i'm not wasting £40 for the MOT,

Another 360? Or have you been to Earlswood? I found that one last week ;) If you need something like a new rack then just get them to cut it out with a gas axe... I'm sure they'd be happy to do so.

That reminds me.. must get the anti roll bar links off my black car they're only about 6 months old!

Although when the black car needed them for the MOT I couldn't tell the difference atall, before and after...

Yep i'm going to merrels in the morning, just been to kwik fit and described the symptoms and the bloke said it'd definately be nothing to do with the tracking and more than likely be the rack so i'll pull the rack and downpipe from the car tomorrow, *hoping it has PAS*
cheers

Mine failed an MOT on the same problem a couple of years ago, but as Dai said, you might possibly get away with it depending how 'lenient' the tester is feeling. Try leaving a bottle of whiskey or similar on the passenger seat. "Oh, how did that get there? It's not mine, it must be yours..."

The same technique can be applied when you appear in court with charges of attempting to bribe your MOT tester. "It's not mine, your honour..."
