As my car is at the repair shop atleast till friday and I had nothing to do, I made an oil catch can for breather. I don't have welding equipment so I used PVC piping. It came out quite nice, just needs some paint..

is that to catch oil in the crankase ventilation system and prevent it from going back into air filter? ( its goes to air filter on a 1.4 and 1.7 anyway.... )

what did you fill it with to filter the oil?

Doesn't oil deteriorate pvc? I can imagine oil makes the plastic soft because it's distracts the softeners/weakeners(I don't know how you call these additives in English, in Dutch I mean ''weekmakers'') from the plastic.

Those parts are made of PVC so it will hold gasoline and oil.

And there is oil vaporized in fumes which come out of breather box, when those get cold in intercooler they will condense and that isn't good for intercooler...

So you can see that it is quite a big amount of stuff which would condense on your intake piping or burn in your engine..

Good work. My current breather vents directly to air via a filter on top of the separater box, but I don't think that will be any good for a turbo engine.
