ignition components and servicing
Re: ignition components and servicing
I checked the resistance when cranking the engine and its changing so I guess it is working. I checked spark on coil itself and there is no spark, but there is something weird because I used light bulb one time and it was flicking (instead of coil). I might give it a try again today to be 1000% sure that renix is faulty.
Re: ignition components and servicing
Interesting! I'm sure you are aware the the Renix unit produces a spark by supplying voltage (at precisely timed intervals) to the primary windings of the coil - which induces a much higher voltage to be produced by the coil's secondary windings which is grounded through the spark plug (across an air gap causing a spark). If you are "seeing a flickering bulb" it suggests that the Renix is supplying at least some voltage! - it also suggests that the speed sensor is functioning correctly.
Are you sure that the coil itself is OK?

The coils should still be on ebay but the stocks must be ebbing.
