well , i need one in my hands to see if its possible , and it has been done before !! , the downpipe and system arent that bad, keeping an equal length on the runners will make a good job of it .

It looks the same...but...it has castings for a hot air intake shroud, so perhaps it is different in other ways too?

cheers

Not sure if this will help but on my Bronco you can get shorty headers to fit to stock exhaust.
These give better top end rpm and more grunt.

The long headers which involve a lot more hacking and chopping to couple up to stock exhaust give much better torque lower down rev range-mainly used by people who tow big rigs about-this information is for small block V8 so may not apply to 4cyl SOHC.

Just a thought tho' :?

I think that's a fair point Guv....at the risk of stating the obvious, a 'half header' is probably better than nothing...but a long way short of a true 4-2-1 (especially one which avoids the horrible shape of the 360 PAS DP!).

cheers

I'm pretty sure my exhaust builder would charge very little diffence for a full manifold compared to half manifold. It can be done just needs a car to jig it on. Anyone interested?

PS congrats noticed you have hit the 5000 posts mark

Ouch...quite a milestone

Well the question is how much could you improve on the stock downpipe for a PAS car, as I think it has to remain split if it is going to be possible to physically fit it to the car without removing the engine at the same time :?

cheers

There is no real way to make a massive improvment due to the limited space available. I should imagine that it will have to split but I'm sure flow can be improved over std.

I've a left-hand drive 360 which will be running a 2.3 redblock. No powersteering.

What kind of price would it be?

Regards,

Frits
