How Should I Set Up My Red Koni Adjustables

Hello folks

I've got myself a pair or rear red Koni adjustables specifically for the 300 and am looking for advise on how to set them up.
Koni wrote:Fitting
For normal use on the road, the new shock absorbers must be fitted straight from the box (no not alter in any way the original adjustment)
I'm looking to stiffen up the rear end, but this is a family car and I'm not looking for anything too extreme. Any suggestions on whether I should go with the default setting or adjust them?

Many thanks

Its all down to your preferance and car's current abilities.

Basically stiffening up the suspension will decrease bodyroll, however it will also increase grip to a medium hardness and then start to decrease grip once too hard.

Find the point where the grip starts to decrease, then adjust till you get the amount of oversteer or understeer you are happy with.

A personal favorite setup of mine is to totally remove the from Anti-roll bar and set the front suspension to Soft/Medium, then the back has poly bushes on the Anti roll bar and Medium/Hard on the back. This makes for one fun right (very drifty in the wet!!!). Be aware that this setup works well for me because the rear tyres are much wider than the fronts!!

As to your problem, adjust them!!! But make note of how many clicks you change. That way you can always revert.

I've got koni's on mine but from a mk2 escort so not sure if they'll be the same. Unfortunately mine have only even been on the "full stiff" setting so can't really advise haha, it does make it fairly bumpy though so I would have thought somewhere around half way to low

If they are new units set them to about 1/4 of the way and then readjust to about half way after a 1000 miles or so. That should give you a good road use setting.
