hi guys its been bit since ive been here but does anyone know if a different air flow meter will fit on a 360 b19e efi or do i need to change the cpu in the car

Hi blackbox!

I was once told that if the part no. of the new air mass meter is not the same as the one which was originally fitted, you also need a different ECU. If you change both parts then that's OK.

But I haven't tried it myself ...

Afaik... 360's only had one version of LE jet, not multiple mapped versions, so any ECU change would be a major undertaking, especially considering it's one of very very few open loop electronic injection systems.

Isn't the flappy paddle on the 360 just a variable resistance, and the wiper gets knackered? I'd either replace the pot, or just abuse it with a good contact cleaner if you think yours is playing up
