Backbox is really a problem, it is as far from free flow as anything can be as gases enter and exit from box at same narrow side, making lot of restrictions.

It revs quicker and also can go much higher with freeflow back box.

Exhaust manifold and 1st silcencer box are also those that are not very optimal, 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and new exhaust with good quality free flow boxes should give you quite nice improvements to how engine behaves.

Making also intake manifold to match pulses properly and we are starting to find engine from that piece of iron, that is if you already have good programmable efi and sensible cam there, I would think even K-cam is not very high performance part, just something engine originally should had ;)

One thing, with injection model airfilter box you are effectively getting hotter air into engine, of course only when running slow, but still as air tubing goes over radiator + air filter sits on exhaust side of engine.

Yes, the whole intake system is ridiculous aesthetically and mechanically...

Totally agreed on the K cam. It's really not that hot at all. Perfectly nice and strong at the top end, but there's really no need to worry about loss of low end!

Changing the back box does help some what. The whole system is not that great but the back box is the worst offeneder. The exhaust manifold is bot to bad but it does couse problems for routing of the down pipe so a 4 branch would give more iprovment on a 360 than on say a 240 or 740

how different is the stock b230fb exhaust manifold and the stock 360 one (both of mine are in different counties)? As people can easily get 170bhp+ out of a stock (unported) b230fb one in VOC rally cars
