ARB Differences?

Post by griffo20022 » 23 Feb 2008 11:34 pm

Quick question peeps. Are the 360 ARB's thicker than the 340's?

That is all :)

All models have 19mm I think? I've got some custom made in mine because it's 23mm. :P

Ta' guys, Reason for asking is because i'm buying some Poly droplinks from somebody off a 360 and they asked if I wanted the ARB too. May be able to use it for a rear ARB setup maybe hummmmmm

Hmm not sure if the drop links will work, the 360 vs 340 have different arb mounts... but not sure if the drop links are the same, can anyone confirm?

My GLT is 1984 spec (Registered 1985) and it has 340 style droplinks. I think they changed in 1985.

drop links are different between 360 and 340, though the holes exist on a 360 to use a 340 arb as the actual bars are the same. 360 has a crazy double balljoint thingy that attaches to the strut whereas 340 attaches to the actual suspension arm using a link like the ones dai sells.

...I think

86 on 360s have the different setup, my 1985 model uses the same setup as 340s.

If it is off Rich then the ARB is the early type as per 340's

You basically couldn't make poly versions of the late-model 360 endlinks (as Ronnie quite rightly says, earlier 360s had 340-style ones).

Technically speaking, the late 360 type is superior....but it's what you can get, I suppose!

cheers

With some modifications you could actually make poly versions, if you'd convert the setup similiar to one in Group-A 240

That would require some fabrication though. :P
