Just a quick note.....
Earlier style backboxes don't fit to later middle boxes much to my annoyance!

The earlier bore is smaller so the backbox join wont go over the middlebox (it's identical diameter)

so get a slightly larger bit of pipe than both of them and slide that other both parts and clamp.. and Voila.

My 60 had loads of bother getting the late backbox to seal around the middle pipe, then when checking the pictures in the motor discount book, I noticed the different diameters. Turns out mine has an early style middle pipe, which the factors say is NLA.

Hmmm does the early style middle pipe fit on a late downpipe then, John?

Steve, I agree with Kaos, a 6" sleeve would do it perfect. As to where you'd get one from... no idea

Got to be an exhaust shop round you who'd do it though.

Yeah, a sleeve will most likely be the plan, but I'll have to cut down the backbox to compensate for it not slipping over the middlebox

Or just get the pipe flared?

Pretty sure, as I fitted a new late-model DP to mine. Just a pattern part but it was a good close fit, needed some swearword-lube to force it on.

Well thats got me thinking...so the back box i have will go on...it just wont connect to the middle section. Sleeving the pipe is worth a try i suppose....hmmm still unsure though as the connection is pretty close to a flare in the pipe...I'll get some pics of the zorst 2moz and someone who knows about this can confirm lol.
