Non Starter!

Well here is my first real problem - the 360 (GLT) has stood for a bit while work was underway and the family increased to 2+2.
New battery and service, turns over no problem, starts and dies. Any ideas?
Possibles:
Flooding
Fuel Starvation
Dodgy Fuel
Injector Issue
Bad Spark Plugs

Hello and welcome back!
I'd start by checking the area around the battery, the terminals that branch off in a pair from the positive, they gave me grief, letting it run, but as soon as the engine moved slightly it'd die! Clean the fuses in the fuse box behind the battery in the wing for the fuel pump, though that in theory wouldn't even let it start.
I'd maybe go as far as saying the fuel pump may be dodgy, either the connections or the pump itself. It might be worth seeing if it's running and supplying fuel when you're cranking the car over.
On the other hand, old fuel is a killer, modern fuel tends to go off very quickly, and I've found it'll run either as rough as anything, or will require constant throttle to keep it running. I'd get a good couple of cans of fresh fuel to try and dilute it down, people haven't believed me in the past, but it is amazing how bad it can be, and give the symptoms of other problems. If it's started and dies, take the spark plugs out, dry them out, and refit, with fresh fuel in the tank, it'll probably be fine!

Cheers Pete,
Seems I just can't part myself from this car

, even now.
Fuel was one of the issues I was looking at first [modern fuels eh] I will give it a whirl and with any look all will be well.
